"The Intersection": For 8 weeks in the Spring of 2011, I covered a community after school program for underpirveleged children, "The Intersection." The program had entered a Pepsi Refresh Contest to win $50,000.

After-school assistant Liz White, center, passes out a turkey and rice dinner to the children at The Intersection Monday evening. Each night the organization provides a dinner to the children; the meal was donated by The Central Missouri Food Bank.
